These are new versions of the traditional dayak warrior shields called 'terabai' in Iban and 'Kelempit' by the Dayak Kenyah. Instead of being decorated with human hair and painted with tribal motifs, we have them engraved and stained, coated with varnish for a lustrous appearance. These 'terabai' or 'kelempit' are decorated items with the mark of Borneo natives. Placed them on your walls as an identity or as a masterpiece to remember Sarawak.
